Five Flies for Beginner Fly Tyers

One of the most common fly tying questions we get here in the shop is what patterns to start with as a beginner. We put our heads together and came up with a few staples and spinoffs that will teach you the skills you need to progress in fly tying. Plus, these patterns are ones we always carry in our boxes. We carry all of these materials here in the shop so stop by and we will help get you set up. Every Sunday we host a tying session starting at 1:30PM at Cutthroat Anglers and its an excellent opportunity for instruction if you are learning!
